2. Online Application

2. Register your account :
- If you are in Pakistan, you will receive an SMS and email code to complete the registration process.
- If you are overseas, the essential codes will be provided by email only.
- Create an application for your machine-readable passport along with the necessary information.
- Please give your address for machine-readable passport delivery.
- Pay the fee using a credit/debit card (Visa/Mastercard only).
3. Enter the required personal details.
4. Give your present and permanent addresses.
5. Upload your photo.
6. Upload the supporting documents required by the application.
7. Download the form, and capture the 4 fingerprints asked by the system.
8. Set the scanner at 600 DPI, JPEG/JPG and Grayscale. Scan and upload the form.
9. Review the information you provided, sign the declaration and then submit the application.
3. Fee Payment
After filling out the online application form, you will be required to pay the e-Passport charge. The price amount may differ based on the type of passport you are applying for (normal, urgent, executive, etc.).
Select your desired payment method, which may be a credit/debit card, internet banking, or other relevant alternatives.
4. Appointment Schedule
When your payment is verified, you will receive a confirmation email or message with a reference number.
Use the reference number to make an appointment at the nearest e-Passport office or facility.
You will need to choose a date and time that is convenient for you.
5. Biometric Verification
On the day of your appointment, go to the specified e-Passport center at the scheduled hour.
Give your reference number to the staff at the facility and follow their instructions.
Your biometric information (fingerprints, photographs, and perhaps an iris scan) will be gathered at the location for security purposes.
6. Process an Application
The competent authorities will process your application and the acquired biometric data.
The e-Passport will be constructed, and your personal information will be securely kept on the integrated electronic chip.
7. Collect Your E-Passport
When the procedure is complete, you will be notified by email or SMS that your e-Passport is ready for pickup.
To pick up your new e-Passport, visit the e-Passport center on the explained date.
You may need to present your original CNIC for verification.
E-Passport Fee Structure 2024
The e-passport is divided into two categories: 36-page and 72-page.
The usual charge for a 36-page e-Passport with a five-year validity term has been set at Rs9,000, while the urgent fee is Rs15,000.
The usual charge for a 36-page e-Passport with a ten-year validity term has been set at Rs13,500, while the urgent fee is Rs22,500.
The standard charge for a 72-page e-passport with a five-year validity is at Rs16,500, while the urgent fee is Rs27,000.
